Principal Residency Network

An Apprenticeship in Leadership:

The Principal Residency Network nurtures new generations of

transformational leaders who are prepared for

the complexities of founding and leading small schools or

redesigning larger schools to achieve equity and excellence

for all students and adults in their own school communities and

beyond.

The program prepares future educational leaders within a program

that is competency-based and rooted in real world practices

and problems. Aspiring Principals learn to lead within the context of

the school, integrating research and theory with practical application.

“Even though the work might have been accomplished more efficiently and  quickly, my mentor principal took the time on a regular basis to break the task into teachable pieces so I could learn.  He alerted me to important meetings and provided as many opportunities to learn about  the role of principal as possible.”      PRN graduate
